POSITION: MOBILE COMPANY STORE MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
Manage and operate a Snap-on mobile retail store. Fully develop assigned routes to reach maximum sales and customer service potential. Mobile stores serve as a model operation for potential franchisees and others seeking positions with Snap-on.
KEY TASK
- Service customers on designated routes and provide outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
- Provide service on products sold by the company.
- Manage store operation to meet sales, margin and profit targets. Maintain accountability for sales and collections, and P&L.
- Maintain accountability for corporate assets in the form of cash, banking, inventory, mobile store and accounts receivable.
- Review store operations documents and balance each week. Complete all daily/weekly reporting requirements.
- Operate store in compliance with the Snap-on program.
- Maintain mobile company store in pristine condition, as it serves as a showcase for the Snap-on franchise.
- Interact with other store managers, management and franchisees to ensure coordination of programs and policies, and to share best practices.
- Assist with research and testing through the implementation of programs, promotions, products or techniques within the mobile company store operation. Provide feedback on their effectiveness.
- Attend sales meetings, conferences, training and other company events as required.
- Assist with recruitment efforts.
- Assist with franchisee training by allowing ride-alongs,
- and by communicating how the program works.
- Comply with health and safety responsibilities, safe work practices and procedures, and undertake training as required.
- Other reasonable duties as requested by the Manager.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven direct sales or sales management experience, preferably in route or outside sales. Retail experience and customer service an advantage.
- Experience in business related positions or small business operations.
- Experience in the automotive industry plus knowledge of automotive tools and equipment and mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge and experience in the following areas.
- Product knowledge

- Asset management
- Budgeting
- Business operations
- Computer proficiency
- Completion of Snap-on training programs.

- Valid driver’s license for medium rigid / Class commercial vehicle.
Must be able to safely drive mobile store vehicle. - Physical requirements include-
- Climbing in and out of vehicle cab via steps frequently during the working day.
- Carrying out manual handling safely using available equipment, tail lift or 2-person lift. Manual handling includes packing / unpacking stock, loading / unloading stock etc, including jacks and tool storage.
